Nancy Drew Mystery Stories was a series of books attributed to Carolyn Keene and published by Pocket Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, under a number of imprints: of the 119 titles published between 1979 and 2003, 22 volumes appeared under Wanderer Books (1979–1985), 85 volumes under Minstrel Books (1987–2001), and 12 volumes under Aladdin Paperbacks (2002–2003). Most of the Wanderer titles featured illustrations by Ruth Sanderson (volumes 57–60) and Paul Frame (volumes 61–75). Volumes 79 to 121 were produced by Mega-Books of New York, Inc., whereas volumes 122–145 and 147 were produced by Mega-Books, Inc. This series was preceded by a first series of books published by Grosset & Dunlap.
