The Bobbsey Twins was a series of books attributed to Laura Lee Hope, with the tag “A Pre Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Mystery,” with 14 titles published between 1980 and 1986. The books were illustrated by Gloria Singer (Volume 1), Ruth Sanderson (Volumes 2–5), John Speirs (Volumes 6–12), Richard Williams (Volume 13), and Rudy Nappi (Volume 14) and published as trade paperbacks by Pocket Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, under its Wanderer Books imprint.
This series was preceded by a first series published by Grosset and Dunlap between 1904 and 1979 and was followed by The New Bobbsey Twins (1987–1992).
